The Move4MANA challenge is expanding rapidly. Move4Mana is an initiative that challenges students to exercise to contribute to saving the lives of children in developing countries. This year, the country that we have chosen to support is South Sudan, a country that has been ravaged by civil war, leaving its citizens in desperate need for food. Globally, there are 25 to 35 million children under the age of 5 that suffer from SAM (severe acute malnutrition), and 1 million of these children will die every year. Students can sign up and use the app called Active for Good to track their physical activity for the one month duration of the challenge. For every 200 points earned, a packet of Ready to Use Therapeutic Food called MANA will be donated to a child in need in South Sudan. Through this Move4MANA initiative, students can get active, become more globally aware, and change the world!
